Together we can strengthen the place we call home
Our Foundation’s mission is to make the region a better place to live and work.
We seek to strengthen these assets by investing our own resources in their development, working with partners in the public and private sectors to align resources around common priorities, and promoting the transfer of personal wealth to make additional resources available.
NMF’s total assets now exceed $70 million. For this, we have many donors to thank both small and large. Most are local individuals who love Northwest Minnesota and want to see it become an even better place to live and work. But our biggest thanks go to the McKnight Foundation, for investing nearly $46 million in our success. For this, we and the people of the region owe an enormous debt of gratitude.
Together, we can make this region an even better place to live and work. A contribution of any size is greatly appreciated, thank you!
State of the Foundation
February 2021
Each year, the Northwest Minnesota Foundation hosts the State of the Foundation event. This is an opportunity for NMF donors, partners, friends, and the general public to meet with staff, learn about new programs and initiatives, and hear about the impact our organization has had in the region over the past year.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 event was held virtually on Tuesday, February 2nd. The presentation was recorded for those who were not able to attend, and for those who attended but would like to refer back to the information. As always, we encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or ideas on how we can collaborate and continue to build better lives together in Northwest Minnesota. You will find contact information for all of our staff here, or you can fill out our online contact form here.
