Grants over $10,000 require NMF Board ratification and the request must appear on the agenda, which is finalized on the second Wednesday of each month. Smaller grants and payments for services can be approved by staff and paid throughout the month.
NMF recommends a minimum of five and a maximum of twelve advisory committee members for each fund; and, that community members who best represent the fund’s purpose are included; or, in the case of a community fund, that representing a wide range of the population’s interests is a criteria for service on the committee.
Ashley Johnson, Senior Development Officer – assist with fund development, fund raising technical assistance, planned and estate gifts, and oversight of fund operations according to NMF policies and procedures for philanthropic services.
Dawn Ganje, Senior Development Officer – assist with fund development, fund raising technical assistance, planned and estate gifts, and oversight of fund operations according to NMF policies and procedures for philanthropic services.
Kelly Martinka, Development Officer – assist with fund development, fund raising technical assistance, planned and estate gifts, and oversight of fund operations according to NMF policies and procedures for philanthropic services.
Chris Bell, Development Specialist – provides information on gifts, donors, and fund statements; processes request for payments for mission related expenses and development support; processes scholarships; assists with web site pages for funds.
Bethany Wesley, Communications Director – provides marketing and public relations support.
Our development and administrative team reviews and processes all grants recommended by the advisory committee.
