The Homelessness program at the Northwest Minnesota Foundation contains a number of initiatives supporting collaboration of our partners to better serve those in our communities who have become homeless or are at-risk of becoming homeless.
Building Systems to Prevent and End Youth Homelessness in Northwest Minnesota

 

The goal of this initiative is to create a systems-level response to youth homelessness that ensures homelessness is prevented whenever possible, or is otherwise rare, brief, and non-recurring.

Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project

Northwest Minnesota Continuum of Care

 

This initiative focuses on preventing and ending homelessness in Northwest Minnesota, and ensure that if it occurs, it is rare, brief and non-recurring.

Bemidji Rapid Response to Homelessness

 

This initiative focuses on providing daytime and evening winter time shelter in Bemidji and the surrounding area. The goal is to prevent deaths due to exposure during the winter months.

Communities served: Bemidji, Red Lake, Cass Lake, Bena

Family Support Network

 

This program focuses on supporting children and youth experiencing homelessness by collaborating to break down barriers impacting families.
