November 2, 2021   (Bemidji, MN) – The Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund announced their fall 2021 grant award recipients on October 26. The education fund awards annual grants to ISD 31 teachers through a competitive application and review process.

There were 12 grant applications received, with requests for over $11,000. A total of almost $4,600 was granted to 8 applicants for various projects and classrooms throughout the Bemidji Area Schools, including:

  • Disc Golf Course / Gene Dillion Elementary
  • Sensory Path / JW Smith Elementary
  • 3rd Grade Rocketry / Lincoln Elementary
  • Minnesota Desk Maps / Bemidji Middle School
  • 3D Design and Creation / Horace May Elementary
  • Pond Life / Bemidji Middle School
  • Weight Bench / Bemidji Middle School
  • Wireless Science Sensors / Bemidji Middle School

 

“We are excited to be able to assist the educators in our district further the classroom experience,” said Jeff Haack, Chair of the Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund and Bemidji Area School Board Member. “We look forward to seeing how the grant dollars will impact and benefit our students.”

In total, the Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund has given 23 grant awards for a total of $13,300 over the last three grant periods.

Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund is a component fund of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation.
